Drawn to the music of Bugged Out and Voodoo, Binny brings his own unique take on Detroit techno to the table. Doing what he does best, turning hardware knobs that is, he transforms his energy into mind-boggling ol’skool techno. His last release on Tabernacle records was a bomb! so we definitely wanted to give him a full ep of his own! Sit back, relax…? No way! If you like some ol’skool floorwork detroit techno with some amazing synths and throbbing baselines, you should check this out!

Accompanied with a remix by Abstract Division, this EP is another record you need in your collection.

We’re very pleased to welcome Dave Miller & Paul Boex. The two gents have been releasing astonishing tracks over the years and have now joined together in what they call an Abstract Division. Remember our first vinyl introducing the Belgian Plastikman? Nico is back!
Nico’s love for old vintage synths and the TR-808 keeps him up at night. We think his strong coffee and his dark room keep him inspired to come up with stuff like this. “Enter The Void” takes you back to the early 90′ies. Hard 808 kicks, twisted baselines and great glitches captured and arranged in his typical style & sound, made this one, again, in a Plastikman-esk downtempo killer.

Accompanied with two remixes by Aubrey & Mr. Mau, this EP is another record you need in your collection.

We’re honoured to present Aubrey’s remix. Allens history goes way back. Man sure earned respect with his releases on Solid Groove, Ferox, Mosaic, Intelligence Records, Textures, Offshoot, … the list goes on and on. His typical somewhat filthy style makes him really unique and he managed it again to make a track like no other track made before.

The remix by Mr. Mau is something you haven’t heard from him before. Not sure if you’re ready to take this trip back to the ol’skool tech from the 90′ies with a slightly new and twisted feel to it. Definitely one for the floor!

I think the original version is a little bit too clean, but is a great track. Aubrey’s remix reminds me of Sandwell District, so that’s not a bad thing . Mr. Mau on steroids? That remix sure got power. Stands out in its category of techno. Great work, as usual.

Marc Trakker (Orbis records, Napalm Enema records – FR)
What an eclectic ep!! The original track from Alpha 303 is not a track, but a long trip into darkness and acid basslines with good arrangements, but the surprise and the best track for me is the Mr. Mau remix. It took me back to the end of the 90′s, reminding me of the UFO track produced by Mills on Axis at that time, something mad. Will play this for sure!!

Two days ago, the testpressings of the next release arrived.

This release will be out soon, mid or end june 2012. Two weeks after that, digital formats will be available in all major download shops.

Also… we got some cool news regarding number 8! Dave Miller & Paul Boex will remix the original track by Adam Cummings. We’re really looking forward to their Abstract Division remix. Something to watch out for. The original tracks by Adam are something we believe in. He’s unknown, but we’re sure his tracks will do some damage soon

Orbis Records wishes you all the best in 2012. We’re a bit late but who cares.
We hope Mister Grovskopa has a good future in 2012, he quits music for now. So… comment on his FB page & show him some love & credit. He deserves it for his several years devoted to Techno Music.

Nevertheless, we’re not quiting yet.

Another member makes it to the family: Deejay Ozka

David Nizet has been around in the Belgian underground techno scene for ages, we mean early nineties. He was part of the 6th Sense collective during the mid 90s with releases on Dave Angels Rotation and the legendary Belgian label Re-load Records. Despite a Detroitish nostalgic touch in his productions, small modern minimalist influences gently creep in to all his tracks to turn them into brilliant pieces of never outdated, or should we say evergreen, techno.
With past releases on Aesthetik, Mowar, Labrynth and played by Marcel Fengler, Markus Suckut, Matt O’Brien, Jamie Behan, … (the list is too long actually), he’s definitely up there with the big ones.

“Grey Lines” is a brilliant dark nerve-racking track with groove that will definitely set the dancefloor on fire. Beware, this killer will change dancing people at 6 am into a bunch of zombies.

“No Limiter” translates Davids feeling for music. There are no limits. This tracks grabs you from the beginning till the end with its minimalistic changes in the arrangement and an extraordinary synth you’ve never heard before.

Mr. Mau’s remix of “No Limiter” shifts the track up another gear and aims straight for the dancefloor. its aggressive but sophisticated and original arrangement makes you scream “dance while you still can”.
